Re: ISS FREQUENCIES

Arthur,

I am sorry you feel this way. We have been struggling on the subject of
human spaceflight frequencies since Owen Garriott's flight 17 years ago and
this is our best compromise from an international perspective. I will tell
you that being the frequency coordinator for human spaceflight is a
thankless job.

There is a simple solution for you and all the newbies out there. This is
one I personally have used on occasion. It works particularly well if you
have a memory select knob.

Program your rig's memory with the uplink in one memory channel and the
downlink in another memory channel. Both will be set to simplex. Transmit
on the uplink memory channel and switch over to listen on the downlink
memory channel.

I hope this helps.
