I wouldnt be suprised if thats the case (grin). I dont know what deal
SAREX/Marex has cut with NASA but its instructive to look at the "people
hours" that go into construction of the "crew patch".
Back in another life when I was closer to the shuttle program then I am now
it astounded me to learn that almost 3 man weeks go into "patch"
construction (and I mean designing it). I can imagine what a QSL card would
take now...
That of course is nothing compared to 1/4 of a million dollars for 5
letters.
You cannot even in your wildest imagination imagine how fast NASA waste
money. You might read the GAO report that McCain requested...its scary.
