I would like to thank everyone who responded to my original question - I have had two W32A's in the past and like an idiot I sold them and then regretted it afterwards - and of course, they then stopped making them! 

  Not being a great fan of Yaesu or Kenwood, I have stayed loyal to Icom for a long time, my present satellite radio being a 910HX. From what has been posted, it seems that at a pinch, the T90/E90 will suffice with an Arrow antenna for the FM only birds so maybe thats the way to go for the time being!

getting through the bird or if you are transmitting over someone else.
I would say give it a try until you can get a cheap 2nd radio that can
serve as either the transmitter or the receiver. This way you will
create a full-duplex setup - with 2 radios. Also keep in mind that you
will need a diplexer for the Arrow if you are using just one radio.
