I bought a BIFO USB810 USB/Serial cable that was recommended by the
folks at Uni_Trac for use with there sat interface. It has worked
flawlessly
for all comport connections. I use it with a DB9 nul modem to
interface my FT-847 and my Acer laptop XP via USB and have had no
issues. The Blue Computer converter cable I was trying to use before
would not work. It came with driver disk for XP and I downloaded the
Vista driver from there website. It works fine on my vista machine
too. You might try this cable. It might solve your problems. Good luck
with it.
