I tried a test on the last pass that was from  horizon to 80 degrees.  I
have a BBQ dish that is mounted horizontally and could barely hear the pass
until it was almost over head.  On the 27 turn helix, I head the signals at
about S5 at 10 degrees and S9+ from 20 degrees until maximum.

is this typical with a helix and a BBQ dish?  I was surprised that it was so
different.  This was a good test for those of us perfecting our S modes.

On for 20:45 and 22:25 utc passes.  Early one was max elevation of 15 
degrees
next one nearly overhead pass.  Receiving with 52 turn helix with cup 
reflector
No signal background noise is S1. Max sig on 15 degree el pass was S6 and on
near overhead was S9 + 10db.  Had 2 QSOs on low pass and 4 on high pass.
S band transmitter sounds good.
2 meter uplink power is as low as it will go on FT-847 (2 watts) into 2 X 6 
el
linear Quagis.
