It was in mode A, as could hear my CW signal come back to me. Also heard W5QEP with a strong signal, but he never heard me call him. Isnt the propagation just fun on 29 mhz?

Subject: [amsat-bb] AO-7 UHF beacon heard
I am copying a very strong carrier on AO-7 as I write this...
435.106MHz , no signs of modulation. Planet Emily latest reports show the transponder might be off... I didn't listen for myself... have to swap co-ax, but I was busy trying to figure out if the carrier were definitely the old girl, or Informator-1/RS-14 which were both directly overhead and whose dopper-shifts were similar at the time... I confirmed it to be definitely coming from AO-7.
As I push "send" the carrier is still clear at 3.5 degrees over the north pole...
