Hi Rich,

I use dire wolf as the software TNC. It shows RX and tx packets in its DOS
window nicely. Very helpful.

Easy path is to have only one sound card enabled, and connected to the
radio, then start dire wolf and see if you can copy rx packets right in the
dire wolf DOS window.

I use a signalink as the sound card interface connected to the 6pin din
connector on the back of the 910h or ft817 so that I don't have to sort out
a PTT line. It's quite nice, simple, and effective for many digital modes.

Once you get RX working (try 144.39 first) then you can check the dire wolf
manual for how to put it in tx to calibrate/ set tx audio level...

I then use UI-view to connect to dire wolf to do the mapping etc.
BUT there's other options besides UI-view..

Have Fun,
Mike
