[amsat-bb] K1N today

I think DXpeditions could work well on the LEO satellites. Obviously
with AO-40, you had minimal Doppler issues and hours and hours to make
QSOs.

In this case, it's only four days until the end of the DXpedition,
they are only working one satellite, are using minimal equipment, and
the operator is not experienced in the intricacies of satellite
operations. Plus it'll be at least another decade until another ham
steps foot on the island. I'm very glad they brought the equipment and
are trying to get us a new one on satellite, but I wish they had
practiced before departure and started earlier in the DXpedition.

I would love for more DX operations to include satellite in their
plans. There are always guys going to operate from entities well
within LEO range of population centers that haven't been heard on the
satellites in a long, long time. When I work those guys for the 100th
time on HF, I always wish they had satellite equipment with them.

The question is, how do we make that happen?
