Doesn't 9k6 need response down to DC? Why couldn't one hook up to the 
DATA2 jack on the IC-9100?

Beyond that, the '9100 has a USB port which provides audio I/O to a PC, 
which is what I think Shakeel is referring to. That might have the same 
filters as the normal audio jack. A quick test using fldigi and looking 
at the waterfall will show the approximate filter shape.
