We may have a chance since I see 1Khz options for receive freq but no TX set. Maybe by using the duplex offset in 1 Khz increments something can be worked out.

Ill see what HRD can do tomorrow at my club where we have an ID-5100 and hopefully the right cable.

Hi Frank,

I was just thinking of buying a 5100 because I don't seem to be able to reliably get into the FM satellites with just 5W from my HT and I read the manual and according to it the minimum tuning step is 5kHz. It would be nice if a smaller step could be achieved through CI-V but I doubt it.

Cabling may be an issue as HRD config notes calls for a mod of their standard cable.

The 7100 can tune in 1Hz increments and can be computer controlled.
