Re: Semens
Semens has thought fit to advertise themselves as the method of
communication for the spouse of a MIR cosmonaught when speaking to her
husband. Could the use of amateur radio have prevented them from
advertising this earlier when the American presance was felt aboard MIR?
I couldn't find the list of countries which permit third party traffic in the
most recent ARRL handbook, but my recollections from previous discussions is
that Russia does not and that special permission had to be obtained to permit
such operations on MIR to a very limited extent. So unless the spouse had
her/his license, that i don't think that would work.
