Actually a bad idea, especially on 70 cm or higher. It would work best
using a meteor scatter mode like HSCW, and would help if both stations
were collinear to the bird at the point of QSO.
Automated stations would probably work best, because the bird moves so
fast. It would be hard to accurately point using armstrong steering.
Since many operators have good uplink capabilities for working Oscar 10,
a pair of those stations running maximum power on 70 cm would stand a
good chance.
I would think the 1200 baud pacsats will also become more popular. It
is a fairly simple matter to add Manchester encoding to your 1200 baud
tnc.
