My only 2 cents regarding the Internet stuff is simply:
I dont know of any HAM who would ignore FREE BANDWIDTH..
After trying to conserve and compress data to fit in a 1200 baud channel
(packet) for years, the availability of the internet to prvide worldwide
bandwidth is hard to beat. This bandwidth is great for the long haul,
whereas 1200 baud AX.25 is OK for the end user...
In other words, I will use bandwidth where ever I can find it (legally).
My goal is amateur communications. Same as every other HAM....
